My educational background includes having a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an additional major in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Arizona State University. I have enjoyed assisting children, families, couples, and adults in achieving their therapeutic goals for the last 5 years. My empathic style aids in my ability to establish a solid foundation of trust and rapport necessary for a therapeutic relationship. My counseling interventions typically include methods such as CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), and systemic therapies such as: Narrative therapy, Family Systems, Solution Focused, and Emotionally focused therapy. My experiences as a coach, mentor, teacher, community servant, and coming from a very large family add to my therapeutic style. What I enjoy the most with my work is having the opportunity to provide the tools for clients to use in their everyday life to improve their situation, and become comfortable with themselves, their family and their community.
