MA, LAC, CCTP
I have worked with children and adults in an outpatient/community-based setting for 10 years. I work to have an empathetic style in order to build rapport and trust with my clients. My educational background includes having received a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Masters in Counseling and Psychology from Prescott College. In addition, I have received specialized trauma training, which resulted in my certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional. My counseling interventions typically include methods such as CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), MBCT (mindfulness based cognitive therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) and play therapy (including sand tray interventions). In addition, my life experiences as a wife and mother of two young boys contribute to my therapeutic style. What I enjoy the most in my work with others is having the opportunity to empower each client to achieve their goals and enhance their lives by becoming the best version of themselves.
