Building Healthy Families is a NEW program offered to parents of all ages
This program combines RMBHS's strengths and mission to provide a dynamic therapeutic experience for families. The purpose is to strengthen existing families, prevent separation, and support families on their journey.
Families will be offered the opportunity to stay in "learning homes" for two days at a time. Experienced staff who will help them learn healthy eating habits, positive communication skills, money management, and much more. Staff will then go with families to their own home to help put the skills they have learned into action.
As families demonstrate their success and gain confidence staff will begin to transition out of their home. Staff will continue to check-in, provide support, and ensure that the family is doing well. As staff work with the families they will teach how to use community resources, and how to be self sufficient.
Transportation will be provided by our staff. Consistent attendance on a weekly basis and willingness to learn new skills ensures better outcomes for the parent and child.
