Our Story
Red Mountain Behavioral Health Services was founded by Randy & Robin Kinsel out of a need to offer services focused on keeping families together. With a history of working with behavioral health children in orphanages, groups, residential treatment centers, and as therapeutic foster parents, the Kinsel’s recognized the clear need to preserver families and enhance their support systems.
In the fall of 2002 Red Mountain opened its doors to children and their families. In June 2004, Red Mountain began offering respite services to the Gila River community. 2008 marked another milestone, as Red Mountain became Red Mountain Behavioral Health Services – beginning to offer home-based counseling and starting down the path of expanding the range and benefits of services and respite care.
Today, RMBHS is steadfastly committed to strengthening Arizona’s behavioral health families and promoting wellness to the communities we serve. RMBHS provides services to the families of Gila River Indian Community, Cenpatico, Pascua Yaqui, and White Mountain Apache. Families in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community may also receive our services through Salt River Social Services.
Mission:
Red Mountain Behavioral Health is a licensed out-patient behavioral health clinic, offering a complete range of counseling and specialty support services. All services are driven by the CFT process and delivered as indicated in the client's treatment plan. Services are community-based, family-focused, and culturally relevant. All our services focus on enhancement and maintenance of a person's level of functioning and reduction of symptoms that significantly interfere with family and social success and quality of life.
We are committed to providing services that enhance cultural values and beliefs, promote strength-based programs, and offer environments that alleviate potential tensions in the home environment. Our motto 'Spirit of Excellence' is passed on to our staff and the children and families we serve.
